Desay SV and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. today announced the companies’ plans to work together to produce Desay SV’s 4th Generation Intelligent Cabin System based on the 4th Generation Snapdragon® Cockpit Platforms. With the 4th Generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms, Desay SV’s 4th Generation Intelligent Cabin System will feature a high-performance compute, artificial intelligence (AI) engine, multi-sensor processing and rich network connectivity capabilities, and provide automakers with leading digital cockpit solutions in efforts to bring a safer, more comfortable, and efficient mobility to users.
With the evolution to an automotive electronic/electrical (E/E) compute architecture, and with intelligent in-vehicle experience becoming a key differentiator that automakers and customers seek, the intelligent cockpit has become a key interface of how drivers and passengers interact with their vehicles. With the support of the leading compute, AI, graphic and multimedia capabilities delivered by the 4th Generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms, Desay SV’s 4th Generation Intelligent Cabin System can support advanced technologies such as multi-screen synergy, audio processing and augmented reality (AR), bringing a rich variety of immersive, interactive experience to users. Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. today announced plans to bring digitally advanced in-vehicle experiences to upcoming Honda models. As an extension of the companies’ long-standing working relationship, whose aim is to meet the consumers’ growing demand for premium and technically advanced in-vehicle capabilities, the 3rd Generation Snapdragon® Cockpit Platforms from Qualcomm Technologies will be utilized in upcoming Honda models to power the automaker’s technically advanced infotainment systems.
The upcoming vehicles, which will serve as Honda’s first-ever models to utilize a 3rd generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform and feature an Android-powered infotainment system. Honda expects the vehicles to be commercially available in the US beginning in the second half of 2022, with vehicles commercially available across the globe in 2023.
