PININFARINA AND AC FUTURE REVOLUTIONIZE MOBILE LIVING WITH AI-ENABLED SOLUTIONS AT CES 2025

Pininfarina is proud to announce the continuation of its innovative partnership with AC Future, a leading developer of AI-enabled and sustainable living solutions. Building on the momentum of Pininfarina’s previously introduced design at CES 2024 which received an Honorary Mention in Fast Company’s Design by Innovation Awards and two Good Design awards in the transportation and graphic design categories, the collaboration now expands with the unveiling at CES 2025, of the first products AC Future will bring to market: the AI-THu (AI Transformer Home Unit), the AI-THt (AI Transformer Home Trailer) and the AI-THd (AI Transformer Home Drivable).

This collection redefines mobile and compact living, offering versatile solutions that push the boundaries of conventional standards and elevate the concept of adaptable living. Built on the same flexible platform and off-grid capabilities as the AI-THd, the AI-THu and AI-THt exemplify a bold commitment to cutting-edge engineering, sustainable innovation, and refined design.

AI-THu: AI Transformer Home Unit

The first product to market in the AC Future portfolio, the AI-THu is an AI-enabled sustainable smart home that transforms to offer 400 square feet of interior living space, including a 40-square-foot outdoor patio. It is built onto a stationary base platform. Inside, the flexible main living area can effortlessly shift between a comfortable lounge, a productive office, or an additional bedroom. The front expansion provides a convertible living space or workstation, while the master bedroom, accessed privately, incorporates extendable wardrobe options for optimal storage. Equipped with AI smart home technology, solar panels, energy storage, a water generator, premium appliances, and plentiful storage, the AI-THu balances technology, form, and function to create a versatile, refined living experience. Starting at $98,000, our base model AI-THu allows customers and businesses to install the smart home anywhere—on-grid or off-grid—while maintaining the comforts and utilities of a traditional home.

The AI-THu’s compact footprint can be customized and expanded to the user’s evolving needs. The base platform allows for additional lower-level storage or living spaces without increasing the pod’s external footprint, making it ideal for tight environments or remote sites. Designed for mid-term, long-term, or permanent use, the AI-THu resembles a conventional home and blends seamlessly into its surroundings. The product is ideally suited for one’s backyard, larger developments, vacation properties, Airbnb rentals, B2B events, military, or emergency management housing solutions. Configurations up to 1,200 square feet are supported, with optional shaded areas, BBQ setups, and extra storage modules available. The AI-THu can be personalized to accommodate a broad range of lifestyles and uses, offering both the intimacy of a single-family home and the adaptability of a mobile living environment.

AI-THt: AI Transformer Home Trailer

The AI-THt is a 24-foot-long transformer home trailer that also expands to offer up to 400 square feet of internal living space. Its unique design leverages AC Future’s patented expansion living technologies present in each AI-TH product, delivering a new standard of mobile living. Customers will have flexible living space and furniture to support their lifestyle, leave less carbon footprint through AC Future’s generating and saving technologies, and have Smart AI to enhance their days.

Unlike traditional trailer homes, the AI-THt does not require a front driving cabin, resulting in a more spacious and premium interior environment that doubles in size when fully expanded. The exterior design of the AI-THt interpretates architectural design elements, blending aesthetic sophistication with aerodynamic efficiency to improve towing performance and range. The result is a sleek, moving habitat that harmoniously merges with its environment.

AI-THd: AI Transformer Home Drivable

The AI-THd is the original design completed by Pininfarina in preparation for AC Future’s corporate launch at CES 2024. The product is an intelligent, self-sufficient, drivable version of the AI-TH that expands the unit from a small recreational vehicle into a large mobile living space. The AI-THd provides customers with the ultimate freedom to move and set up their drivable transformer home in minutes. Customers are provided with flexible living spaces where the cockpit can be easily converted into a mobile office or secondary bedroom. The AI-THd will have similar AI-enabled smart technologies to the AI-THu and the AI-THt, providing customers with a platform for smart, sustainable, and flexible living.
