CES 2018: NAVYA PRESENTS ITS DRIVERLESS SHUTTLE AND ITS ROBOT-TAXI IN LAS VEGAS STREETS
A year after AUTONOM SHUTTLE at CES 2017, NAVYA presented at this edition, its two autonomous vehicles: AUTONOM SHUTTLE and AUTONOM CAB, circulating in the streets of the historic center of Las Vegas: Fremont. KEOLIS, NAVYA’s long-time partner, is the first to operate AUTONOM CAB on this territory since 2018.
Look back at CES 2018: More than 2500 people transported in AUTONOM
Visitors were able to test AUTONOM CAB, which operates without a steering wheel or pedal, in an autonomous way thanks to the most sophisticated sensors architecture on the market. They were able to order it, open its doors and start the ride in one click thanks to the dedicated smartphone application. The participants to the exhibition were also able to experience the many services available on board developed with Ingenico: share the payment, reserve its theatre or museum ticket and even order a coffee, thanks to the interactive screen.
For the duration of CES 2018, AUTONOM CAB has transported more than 600 people in the Las Vegas Fremont district and more than 300 people at the Gold Lot on the Valeo track, within the CES itself. Regarding AUTONOM SHUTTLE, more than 1,500 people used it in the historic center of Las Vegas Fremont. Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval rode aboard AUTONOM SHUTTLE on the occasion of the National Governors Association conference.
As part of the experiment started in November 2017, AUTONOM SHUTTLE continues to transport passengers in Las Vegas until November 2018 and AUTONOM CAB will be deployed in the United States during the second half of 2018.
